David O. Pippin was born and raised in Louisa County, Virginia. He graduated from Virginia Tech in 1983 with a Bachelor of Science in Agricultural Education. Prior to founding David Pippin, Inc. in 2000, he worked and became known for his knowledge and creative talents in a variety of horticultural and education venues. After several years of teaching horticulture at Lee-Davis High School in Hanover County, Virginia, David accepted the position of manager/designer at Four Seasons Fan Flowers, a distinguished Richmond floral design firm. From there he went on to Lewis Ginter Botanical Garden where he served as education coordinator for seven years.
